Well, VB3 works flawlessly on Receptor, and I have the buffer size on
Receptor at 64, no glitches, hung notes, so im confident it won't go
on me (famous last words!

I think Receptor only lets you view the nrpn data but not remap it
with the OS, so maybe i can get a midi mapper to go into the vsti
slot on the VB3 channel. I have the midi map for VB3 and for the XK3.

Time to research vsti midi mappers now i think. If no joy maybe
hardware Event is the way forward.
