Subject:Re: Useful tip to reduce set-up/tear down time

I like the platform 'table top' stands with 2nd tier vs X-stands and
Z-stands and A-stands. I have one travel-setup method that helps a
lot: I leave the bottom tier (main stand) in its width position,
bolting it in place rather than readjusting it each set up. And I
leave the 2nd tier on, also bolted with the tiers and arms adjusted.
The swing-down legs are held in place with velcro straps to travel.
All I have to do is get this over to the stage, stand it on one end,
disconnect the velcro straps, and open the legs into position while I
make the stand vertical. With no height or width or arm adjustments,
this really saves setup time for me, just set the keyboards in place.
Then the fun begins - line line load load midi midi cable cable pedal
pedal gadgets etc.

Anyone who is doing it any other way is an ignorant clod with two
brains: The first one's the size of a pea, the second one's a little
bitty sucker! <-mandatory insult... now no one has to wonder 'if...
