Subject:Re: GT Spacestation SFX>Boss GE-7>Leslie 3300
Hello,
I've been working on a rig consisting of a Hammond XK-1 and a digital piano. I run the Hammond directly into the Leslie with the 8-pin cable. I'm running the piano's stereo output into the Spacestation SFX with the amplifier's "sub-woofer" output signal being patched into the Leslie's Line input. The idea was to have the 3300 handle the Spacestation's subwoofer output thus freeing up the amplifier to just handle the piano's mid-to-upper range. The problem I'm having is this... The Spacestations's subwoofer output turns out to not be strictly bass only. I find it still has some upper range signal coming thru and the Leslie's horn colors the sound to much to be playable (to my ears anyhow).
What I'm thinking of doing is picking up a Boss GE-7 (7-band EQ pedal) and placing it between the Spacestation subwoofer output and Leslie's line input. Then, by manupulating the pedal's sliders, I can successfully filter out the mid-to-upper range signal and have a pure low signal going into the 3300.
I'm just thinking this thru and haven't done it yet. Would you Members agree that this would be a likely solution??
Thanks,
