Not.
An example : I use an ART tube preamp, with two wallwarts ( 1000 mA consumption ) one 220V /110 VAC and the other 110V /9V both AC , btw the first is a main converter from 220V (Europe , Latin America, and 120 more countries ) to 110V ( US/Canada, Taiwan, some places in Brazil, etc.)
Both trannys run fine.
Would be the same if using directly a 220V /9V without the middle 110V tranny.
From the AC source usually 9 or 12 volts AC to ahead comes the 'rectifier' stage (AC from the wall to internal DC currents) .
That internal stage could be 'tube or solid-tate', and that yes make a difference as would say any seasoned guitar player.
I'd not say that in the CX3 case should be an audible difference using differente wallwarts, but be aware of double checking of using matching converters.
Hope that helps.
Rafael

I wonder if different power supplies have an effect on the tone? I know using different wall warts makes guitar pedals sound different...
