Hey Jason , cool pics of your DIY work !
Nice wood finishing for your VK-8M !

I wonder if the woof finishing of the keyboard is cedar or walnut.
Just a personal wish, , would be nice too, to see there the steps of wiring the manual keyboard with a board to get it MIDI-fied.
Lt's say the innards before closing the cabinet at pic#3
Best,
Rafael

Today I rebuilt my 2101 into a new cabinet, with a few minor changes,
and a major material change. The new cabinet is slightly larger (3/4"
hardwood board instead of the MDF originally built with) but about 10
lbs lighter.
I did not put in side "vents" or louvres, and also did
not angle the 5" drivers on the front side.
This is a keyboard amp more than a traditional leslie, so I've built the cabinet like one.
If I need more juice, I'll mic it and run into a powered cab or to the
house PA.
Pics are up in my photo's page: jblann1's DIY project page
After I stain and finish the cabinet, and install the internals, I'll
videorecord the results and share.
