Subject:Big Box Stores
This is true. I have yet to see a selection of drawbar clones being played
at my local GC's and Sam Ash's. And I live in the LA and Orange County
areas. When I walk into these stores there are usually a small group of kids
playing these awful loops at 120DB's all trying to our-blast each other. If
there is a selection of clonewheels they sit untouched because there are no
drum loops on them (thank God!)
That is why I visit these stores on off-hours with the hope that I could
have enough silence to audition these keyboards, and that is why I suggested
the boutique stores like West LA Music. These stores cater to serious
musicians. You usually get what you pay for.
If you know that you want to order a certain keyboard then go for the lowest
price. If you want customer service you will have to pay a little more so
that they can afford a sales staff that is educated.

You also seem to be an exception to the rule if you walk into every time you
have been in a big box store someone is playing a drawbar clone. And that is
fantastic... Tell me were this is an I will personally got there and see for
myself. That will be the exception and not the rule.
