If you want to sell your product you can't afford NOT to do what is
required to get it in the hands of those of use that will use it.
So what if these box chain salesmen don't "know anything about draw
bars".
Isn't that a flimsy excuse for not sending out product?
Even if they are that uninformed, which I personally know is not really
true, why do they continue to sell, Nord, HS, B4, Roland etc.? they're
selling them or they wouldn't stock them. Simple business 101.
Every time that I have been in one of these stores someone is playing a
draw bar clone.
And when I mess with one at least one person comes up with questions and
some interest in the gear.
I tell them what I know and use and tell them to make theri own list of
needs and desires and buy based on that.
Having a bunch of these things in the hands of people who will use them
is oen of the best marketing tools a company can have.
Ever see a Z06 on the road? Ever want to jump in a drive one?
If you had the dough and liked it you'd buy it.
Also, I know first hand that It's not rocket science to get a product in
these stores.
