Hey Bm

Mike Fulk was contributing to the HAMster list (the Zeni one) up until a
year or two ago. I haven't seen anything posted from him in awhile. I think
there were/are some health issues involved.

If you remember him from Hamtech, that must have been a long time ago ! He
had left that list before I joined in 1999 ( back in the days of 'Desert
Bob' ....... remember him ? he was a character too ! : )

I only caught up with Mike years later on the Hamster group.

Those guys and others, were overflowing with Hammond wisdom, during the
early days of web discussion groups. These lists are poorer today without
their participation, for sure !

As for your quest to resubscribe to Hamtech, they no longer are the only
game in town for good tech information. In fact, their "competition" is no
doubt, as good as them by now, for reliable advice. I wouldn't worry too
much about it at all.

I'm not trying to take a cheap shot at Hamtech........it's still a viable
group in my opinion. The other Hammond lists have just 'caught up' to them.
The 'truth is out there' and not the exclusive domain of any one group or
company anymore. ;o)

The list members here, who have had difficulties with Hamtech in the past,
are entitled to their own opinions about the administrators and how they
govern their list. People don't always get along, for whatever
reason............

In my opinion, most problems/discussions/ arguments that arise on these
lists usually are the result of poor communications and a small degree of
bad taste. The rest are the result of certain individuals who get a kick
out of baiting and bullying others. This abusive behavior is not restricted
to the internet...........it's part of the human condition.

My philosophy is that there's room for everyone somewhere on the net. The
price of admission is your passion for the Hammond ( as well as its clones
.......which are the sincerest form of flattery for the real deal :-)
My dad (WW II Vet) always taught me to 'pick your battles...........you
can't fight them all, let alone win them all.'

Getting off the soap-box now..............

cheers
Rob ( waxing philosophically on a Monday morning )
