Hi,

No, Diversi's sound engine is NOT the B4-II. AFAIK, it is a modified version of Beatrix, a Linux-only Hammond organ clone program.

I think what he is saying is that the Diversi is --

- an organ controller
- a PC running Linux
- a customized version of Beatrix, a Hammond clone soft-synth.

The Hamichord is --

- an organ controller
- a PC running Windows XP
- the B4-II VST, also a Hammond clone soft-synth.

In theory, since the parts are almost the same, they are the essentially the same thing -- or at least, "equal." However, Beatrix seems to be a more accurate B-3 sound engine than B4-II. But there's always B4-III (?), or some other soft-clone that comes out in a year or two. So -- potentially, at least -- Hamichord could be as good or better than the KeyB. We'll all have to wait and see. Part of what one pays for is the tiny details, and clearly the KeyB has been tweaked in that department.

It's also unclear if the Hamichord can use ANY VST plug-in, or just a special version of B4-II that was made for the Hamichord.

Regards,

-BW
