Make sure you also check out the Leslie 2101. I like both the Motion Sound
products and this Leslie product. Both need a Speakeasy AMA though (IMHO).

Subject: [CWSG] Motion Sound Pro-3X -- contour control?

Hi all,

I've been looking at the Motion Sound range recently to try and get me
a more convenient rotary unit to carry around without breaking my back.

At first I found the Pro-3TM, which had a dial on the front panel
which I really liked the look of called "contour", which apparently
cut the very high frequencies to make the sound less shrill, just like
a vintage amp would do. This almost sold me on the spot.

But I then found out that the Pro-3TM had been discontinued and
replaced by the Pro-3X. This new model doesn't have a "contour"
control. Instead it has "mid" and "treble" EQ controls, which don't
sound like they do the same thing, but I'm not sure.

So what I'm asking is, does the Pro-3X have the same ability to cut
the highs like the Pro-3TM had with the "contour" control, and if so,
how is it done? Does the "treble" knob take its place?

Thanks
Hugo
