Since you sold Lowrey organs at one time you may know this name Billy Wennlund. He passed away on the 19th of Feb.

Yes i understand that, that you as the player need to feel comfortable

on the board. We all do, actually. My point was to show how Joey played

on a Hammond vs. the Diversi. If he could do the song that he did on

the Hammond, and put that out of him playing on the Diversi, then

perhaps, since the Diversi is only available in Philly or after you've

paid for it, that Diversi might make more instant converts., myself

included. This was the point of some of my previous posts where I

mention that back when Hammonds were all there was, just by hearing the

hits on records, many Hammonds were sold, no questions asked.

If you say that Joey can make an XK3 sound, good, well, it's still a

Hammond. You are trying to decide purchasing a Diversi. How can you use

Joey's making an XK3 sound good as a basis for him being able to make a

Diversi sound good as well?

The fact that you are skeptical about the "feel" of the Diversi, means

that something is missing in the promotional tools Diversi has given us

coupled with the marketing, which is limited to one state or take a

chance and order it.

Based on what I see of Joey on a Diversi, I'm not convinced. What we

are doing is watching someone like Joey who is an ace at what we like

to do. If we can't be there to demo the Diversi ourselves, Joey's the

next best thing.

I feel, watching Joey on the Diversi in the Steamer's clip, makes me

feel the Diversi doesn't "feel "right as you are wanting to know. From

those two clips alone, my not being able to demo a Diversi myself,

makes me feel, if Joey can't negotiate a Diversi as well as he is seen

working on a Hammond, then I must follow what I see on those clips and

come to the conclusion that I would not like the way the Diversi would

fee eitherl. This is why Diversi's solution is for us to make a trek to

Philly to try it out.

That adds to the total cost now doesn't it? Traveling expenses, hotel

rooms...

It was not a point of making the instrument sound great as you mention

with the accordion, it's more of HOW WELL Joey's fingers moved on one

instrument vs. the other. Which is what you are more concerned about at

this juncture anyway. Granted the three instruments may "sound" the

same, but the issue is how each one triggers that sound and allows our

fingers to move with ease.

It has been mentioned on this forum that there are many lurkers who are

satisfied with their rigs and to shell out another $2+K on a new

untested unseen keyboard is not interesting to them.

Hence, back to the original issue which to me, is, show me a clip that

convinces me that Joey can play the Diversi AS WELL AS he can play the

Hammond on the clip I've provided on the song "Ya See What I'm Sayin,"

and perhaps you may...see what I'm saying....

Not me.. Because I know that Joey can make an accordion sound great! :)

When Joey used to do his demos on a XK3 it sounded pretty damn good

too. In

fact, that recent PBS interview that had Joey playing the XK3 was also

pretty damn impressive.

I feel that the XK3c and Diversi and C1 are so close in sound quality

that

the only real difference is player interface. And if that is the case,

then

you cannot tell from watching a video of Joey if the Diversi "Feels"

right

for you, the player.

A return policy iis the American way of life.

But....

You might be willing to drop $2.5k without a hands on if you saw Joey

do this on a Diversi:

Instead of this:

What Tony said at the end of his post is exactly what

would get me to make the call right now...a return

policy. There is no way I am going to drop $2,500 on

something that I haven't actually touched without the

ability to return it.
