The one in El Toro was the same and for close to where I live out in
San Marcos, same mausoleum air...Depends on the time of day and the
area I guess.

A quiet keyboard department would be a blessing, and I'm going to gently

observe the opposite experience. Obviously, the Hollywood GC must be
the

exception, or else I have a magical knack for picking the wrong time of
day

to visit. I've been there when it was Jamming, and also Pasadena and

Sherman Oaks. In fact, I've been in many Sam Ash and Guitar Centers
between

Hollywood and San Francisco and the Keyboard Departments ALWAYS seem
busy

with people of all ages making really bad and loud noise as they bang
away

relentlessly on the Motifs and Fantoms. Mostly it's hip hop drum
samples

and related synth sounds, but the last time I was in the Ventura GC, a

couple of guys were playing Mariachi music on the Motif and singing two
part

harmonies. That was actually refreshing - they were damned good at it -

though it was a problem for the kid trying to sell a lady an S90ES for

church use. The Mariachis were annoyed that he was talking over their
music

and turned it up even louder. LOL

Well said.

Yes keyboard depts are always empty and quiet. Makes it great for us

keyboard players as then you're the only one in there and everything is

turned on... For some strange reason why is it that keyboardists never
go to

GC en masse? I can't think of one GC I have ever been in, where there
was

some one other than you in that dept.. Even at the Hollywierd store.
