Sorry, but the info you got was wrong. Both the 122 and 147 (old style) had the connector for the brake attachment. Pulling the connector killed the Choral motors on both of them. I know -- I tried it. The 122 and 147 of each vintage have the same motors. (New Leslies use a different motor from older ones.)
