Hi,

If the XK2 has an 11-pin interface (don't remember), *and* all the pins are supported, then it's *possible* to get three speeds out of a 122 + Brake Adapter, or a 122XB. I don't know if it's a straightforward setup, though. First off, does the XK2 have a stop switch? (I'm assuming that it does.) Beyond that, I there are some other variables like, "Does the brake adapter use the same signals as the 11-pin method?" You might need a custom box in there somewhere.

On the "old school" 122, there was a little 4-pin plug on the amp that provided the return (neutral) path for the Chorale motors. I think it usually said "Brake Adapter" or something similar on it. If one removed the plug, the Leslie became a virtual 22H -- i.e., 1-speed. I don't know if the newer (122A) models have that plug, because technically speaking, it could have 120VAC on the pins, and probably can't get past post-1980 UL.

Regards,
