By no means was a cheap shot... I am speaking by experience. In one of my other posts I stated that I shop MI stores. I have done this not only here in the Philly area but around the country. And you will NOT believe the things I have heard come out of sales peoples mouths when you ask to see a drawbar keyboard. I even ask to see a Hammond keyboard..... One young man told me that I should buy a Roland synth because they make the Hammond... And more often the not the C1 is treated as a synth. Look at the age of the person waiting on you and many don't know what a drawbar is.
As an example. Two days before trade show I had to go to a Staples to get some copies made and there was a GC one shopping center over. Time to kill so I went in and asked about a Nord Organ... They said, "Oh! You mean a Nord Synth." We don't have them here but we can order it for you! You should see this Yamaha. It has some organ sounds and it does more.
Diversi is an organ. For the most part, as a player, I would rather select a sound module or sythn to get other sounds. But then again I am more an organ player first. I am not as excited about synths. Strings, Piano, Vocal patch, vibes, EP and a sax patch is about it. Brass sound... maybe as well.
Thanks for your questions and comments,
Tom Tuson

Tom,
Your comment; "...The Nord is only what it is by nature and it is
closer to a synth." Dosen't make much sense to me. In my mind,
anything that doesn't have mechanical tonewheels is "by nature"
closer to a synth (including the Diversi) than they are to a B3. How
is the Diversi less of a synth than any other clone on the market?
Does your comment have any real basis or was it just a cheap shot at
the competition?
