Subject:RE: Hammer action controller
Thanks for your helpful posts, guys. Based on past conversations on this
list, I've been watching for a used A90 for several years. I never see them
unless they are thrashed.
Also, I stumbled onto a Yamaha KX8 on Sweetwater's web site (due out in
April of this year and priced similar to the Studiologic controllers,) but I
couldn't find any reference on Yamaha's site either.
I've owned and played on a number of Yamaha's Graded Hammer Effect boards
and find them very playable. Anybody used one of those as a controller?
Once again, I don't care about lots of midi control. It's the touch I want.
I'll be using it with Logic Studio and assume that I'll be happy to tweak
the Mac and also I won't likely move it around since I have a Stage and an
XK-3 for the rare times that I play out.
What about using a CP33 as a controller, once again looking for the great
touch and just midi out to the Mac? (There's one locally for sale.)

Yamaha was supposed to have a new 88 key controller coming out...But I just
checked their website, and any reference to it seems to have disappeared
(could've sworn I saw mention of that a few weeks back...).
Hope that helps....
