I just wanted to add, once you've sent that sysex with a sequencer or
PC to the VK8M, it's treated as an edit to the program, but you still
have to save it. Once you've saved the program, you can then use that
as your starting point for any other programs you want to create with
no leslie. You won't have to deal with the sysex anymore after that.
But keep in mind that the amp model (Type I-IV) is still in effect.
I've seen it mentioned (and it sounds right to my ears) that Type IV
with the overdrive totally off seems like the most direct, uncoloured
sound. You might want to try that if you're going to be using an
external rotary speaker, but play around with the amp types and see
what sounds best to you through your speaker.
