Hi Enrico,
You can turn the D-Beam controller on and off by pressing the button
located just to the right of the D-Beam controller.

The VK-8M does not allow you to bypass the rotary effect. But you can
order the VK-8 upgrade from Soundside
(http://www.soundside.de/shop/vk8upgradepack.htm), which will enable
you to do so.
