Subject:Roland A30 to Mac


I just scored a used Roland A30 to use in my studio. Plugged it into midi
two on the XK-3 and it worked great.

First efforts to make it talk to my Macintosh have failed - which is what I
bought it for, of course. Tried it through a midisport mideiman usb
adapter. The Mac said "Ho Hum" and just kept on doing it's thing. The
Midisport didn't light up or even flicker.

Any first thoughts to save me some agony would be appreciated.
