Subject:Re: Lack of Drawbars - Nord C1 (an slighlty offtopic voltage warning for DSLR)

Richard,

Very smart question.

Guess it's the turn of Swedish folks as weren't their thinktank :)

Best bet would be if they comes as a 'bonus' for old-fashioned people, narrow-minded in terms of Hammond usability , litte prone to learn a new GUI, new controls, new user's manual probably of the size of an US Code , let's say new paraphernalia in the end.

But a wish list would be a redisigned, rethinked drawbar, I'm thinking why not instead of mechanical contacts, use just optical coupling, conversely a drawbar will be a 'a light emitter', that would build up a matrix of sounds when matching the proper light receiver (aka drawbar stops)

If they can couple high AC voltages why shouldn't be able to switch a few DC volts ?

They will slide faster for sure.

Best,

Rafael

OFFTOPIC

Safety warning , intended mostly for 'baby boomers' :)
This isn't sually found in new DSLRs first manual´s pages:

DANGER: Don't use a standard flash on a 'hot shoe flash' of a reflex digital camera (dslr) or it will got blown up by an unpected voltage , 5v DC required versus many times more of their analogue counterparts.

Instead look for eBAY searching ' hot shoe voltage '
there are $5 bucks stuff at eBAY to reduce voltage.

Sorry if this sound like kinda 'Don't use your 110V stuff in Europe directly' but have a friend (former US expat) that decades ago, directly plugged their toaster in a 220V main wall socket use never warned him before !

So take care if using any 35mm film camera flash, at time of getting better 'enlightment' for a Youtube vid upload :)

If anybody here has a Pentax K100d or K110, please let me know in private message , need to make a couple of question before buying 6x7 cm lenses to be used with a DSLR.

Thanks for the time reading this offtopic.

A separate drawbar add on at an extra price that attaches nicely over
the LED's???

them, guess that I'm almost 'middle of the road'.
