No 3 would have put the kibosh on it. Its not only the lack of real drawbars, but the highly unusual placement of the vibrato and percussion controls. Its like Nord placed these controls not to create an easier playing interface, but just for the sake of being different. Not good design.

Would Ernesto "Hill" Olvera have found the C-1 completely unusable, bearing in mind
1.. the response time of the drawbuttons,
2.. the lack of preset keys and, of couse
3.. the fact that he was blind?

When I had My NE2 some time back, it was a little awkward at first with
the drawLEDs, but I got tuend into the "pull-out speed" of
the "drawbars" and made it work. On the other hand, my muscle memory
for the Hammond drawbar lets me shape a custom tone on the fly very
quickly, and switching presets B, Bb and seeing all drawbar sets ahead
of actually needing them really helps too.
In the end, it really depends on your music style and how much you
really handle the drawbar sets to shape your tones throughout the
song. I for one, prefer actual drawbars, because I constantly shape
the tone throughout a song so I sit well in a mix, wether I stick out
in runs or a solo, or hang back descreetly.
Now watch for a soon-coming youtube video of a Nord owner that can
prove us drawbar-heads wrong with artful drawLED management while
playing.
