Subject:Re: Native Instruments B4D B4 Controller Question

The XK-1 is like the XM-2 and XK-3 in that the MIDI inputs can be put
in Lower/Pedal mode where whatever is connected to MIDI in 1 is the
pedals and whatever is connected to MIDI in 2 is the lower manual. If
it is switched to In1/In2 mode, whatever is sent on the channels that
are set within the X* will "play" that manual. If the B4D sends the
correct CC#'s on channel one (or other channel as selected) it will
control the upper manual drawbars.

The XM-2 will respond to the CC#'s that other manufacturers use (CC's
12 - 35 data 0 - 127) as well as the Hammond standard (CC's 80 - 82).
As far as I can tell, the XK-1 does not. Can the B4D controller send
CC's 80 - 82? The XK-3c will also respond to both types of CC#'s so
it could be used as a set of lower manual drawbars while the 2 sets
on the '3c are used in A#/B mode.

Good Luck.
