Being a keyboard player in a band is much like being a defenseman on
a hockey team and the more mobile, animated, players (guitars, drums
etc) are more akin to the the forward position players. Unless
you're a defenseman or hardcore hockey buff you're probably not
going to know the names of the defensemen, while the forwards become
household names, but the people PLAYING with you certainly
understand your value. Everyone knows that the forwards do all the
scoring, but it's the defensmen that win the games.
