Christian...
You don't remember Gregg Rolie ??
Of course I do. Even if I didn't he has been mentioned here many times.
Still one of the greatest overdriven B3 sounds ever.
I was writing with a "winking eye" to describe how non-musicians and non Hammond/keyboard lovers - but who are still kinda interested  in music - would likely talk. I mean how many Christina Agulera fans know that the great Greg Phillinganes (who goes back to Steve Wonder in 1977) plays on her 2001 album?  Do they care? Same goes for anothger great keyboarder/Hammond player: the late Richard Tee. How many non-musicians ever heard of him?  Check some of his Hammond playing with saxophonist Tom Scott. back around 1980.
Well I love the Hammond sound and I don't care how indifferent people are. They also don't care about everyone in a horn section, no matter how cool they are and I won't start aerobics or dramatic acting on stage just to get the attention, especially not in gospel music, where the good Hammond players (I am not saying I am good, I come from the piano)  come up with the hottest licks and they just smile a little.
