I'm a brand new owner of a CX-3 (just got it last week) and have never
played an actual Hammond and hav never used an actual Leslie, so take
my words with a grain of salt.

That said, I assume you did disable the speaker sim and/or internal
leslie sim in the CX-3 patches? Have you tried setting the CX-3 Amp
type to pre-amp? Some of these choicese may automatically disable
others (I think the pre-amp setting will also disable the speaker sim
but I'm not sure, I haven't memorized all the settings yet).

Cabinet speakers sims in general (eg guitar cab sims) reduce the highs
because that's what the actual cabinets do; they are not hi-fi
speakers and have a frequency response that is far from linear.

If you use a speaker sim that rolls of the highs (as I'm sure the CX-3
speaker sim does) and then put that signal through an actual speaker
cabinet that already does that you'll end up with less highs than you
might want. The CX-3 internal sims were no doubt intended for use with
headphones or PA systems that will not exhibit so much high frequency
roll-off. Try disabling them.

BTW Why is it that you are using v1.0 with your CX-3? I got mine with
v2.0 already installed but if not I would have downloaded it from the
Korg website rightaway and installed it.
