Subject:New CD Release from Felix Caviliere and Steve Cropper!!!

Just wanted to let people know that there is a brand new CD release
from Felix Caviliere and Steve Cropper, its called "Nudge It Up A
Notch". It is available on Amazon, and you can listen to the tracks
there. It is very much in the classic soul/blue-eyed soul tradition
of the mid to late 60s. It's a stripped down band and all the B3 is
Felix and all the guitar is Cropper. These two guys have still got
it. I am a guitar player who works and teaches in Nashville where
both of these guys have lived for many years, and I have met both of
them a couple of times. They are both really down-to-earth guys who
were very very nice to me and did not have the arrogance that a lot
of "stars" have. Cropper talked to me for quite a while about amps
and guitars,etc. and his response to me excitedly telling him
that "Hip-Hugger" had the most badass guitar solo ever recorded in
history was: Yeah, that was a good solo!! It had BOTH of my licks in
it!! What a cool guy. Felix seemed to really care that some dude like
me was digging his tunes down in Alabama in the 60s, driving a Dodge
Dart and trying to meet girls!!These are truly two of the elder
statesmen who wrote the book, and they are good guys. So if you miss
the Rascals and the Stax vibe, check out this CD. Also, I would like
to just say thanks to all you B3 nuts out there for your input on
this Group--I read this list constantly and it is truly a great
source of info for an rock and roll guitar player who doesnt know
jack about B3/clone stuff, but loves it just as much as you guys do.
