This is the reason why if you're gonna go for a hammond manual feel, you need the entire manual assembly..As Hammond consoles are MIDI-fied, it retains the feel but only adds MIDI capabilities. If your plan is to reduce size and weight, you may not arrive at achieving both light weight and hammond console feel by leaving out the parts that contribute to the console key feel.. the reason that some think to make controllers out of hammond manuals is because they are unsatisfied with the clone boards being produced, hammond's included..
