Subject:Re: VB3 live

Well,
I used it and I can say that I am satisfied with it.
The CX-3 is a great keyboard and a very good Hammond clone. The VB3 is not a WOW factor,
but I felt like it was a definite improvement over the korg.
As far as cutting, once playing at stage volumes, it felt much better than home/headphone volume playing.
So the things that I liked best are:
1) overdrive
2) balance in the drawbars, with the CX3 a registration like 888888888 would get the sound guy scrambling to turn keyboards down in the mix.
3) response to expression pedal

Overall impression, I'll keep on using it. And the korg will be there as a controller and as a backup in case windows decides to go BSOD.
As I said, not a night and day change from the korg, but at the end of the first set, asked me what I did to the CX3, he said it sounded closer to a B3 than in the past.

PS: thanks for the tips on the settings.
