Hi Josh.

I generally don't like too much of the bottom rotor so that I get a more direct sound for bass lines, but prodded by your post, I just set it up and experimented with the settings for the low rotor sim . You can adjust the amount of depth in two bands, one primarily below 300 Hz and one above. With a setting of the low one to about 9 o'clock and the high (>300HZ) one about 12 o'clock, the sim sounded great to my ears. The ramping and speed you can adjust via internal pots, but the default settings it came with are terrific. This thing is knocking me out.

incidentally, I did a support gig last night where we had to be on and off very quickly. I plugged the sim output into the bass amp on stage, the mix out into a DI for FOH and I was up and running. The only issue was a bit of output hum which was quite minor in a live setting.

Hey Randal,

Great to finally hear a report on this product. This might sound like
a stupid question, but here goes: Does the low rotar sim sound like a
simulator, or are you able to actually get the feeling like it's the
real thing? I've often wondered if having a real horn is enough to
fool your ears into thinking the whole thing is real. Again, kind of
a stupid question, but not having a music store that carries MS stuff
within 3 hours, it's hard to find out for myself. :)
