Think of the Overdrive Knob as the "amp's volume control" The
expression pedal will work with the "preamp" setting before it hits
the Overdrive control. I have found a few ways to get a decent
overdrive tone out of it, but you sacrifice a huge amount of line
output (you'll want a preamp of some kind at this point). Also to
note, the "Amp Gain" parameter has a drastic change between 50 and
51. 51 and above sounds more "buzzy" than below 50.
Try this:
Amp Gain =95%
Overdrive knob at about 8:00 to 9:00
output volume will be low, but listen to the tone, see if that gets
you close to something.

Again: Expression Pedal=preamp "volume" --> Amp Gain ="Amp Volume
and master Overdrive control"
