Subject:Shameless plugs

Hello and welcome to the pre-game weekend rundown. As always, for those so inclined, I’ll be performing with Hello Dave (www.myspace.com/hellodave) Friday and Saturday this weekend in the Chicago area.

Friday night, we’ll be doing a double bill with Mr. Blotto at Durty Nellies in Palatine (http://durtynellies.com/). Located at 180 N. Smith Street, Nellies is a fun venue, with great bartenders, pretty good beverage selection, excellent yet reasonable restaurant….and of course, Hello Dave will be performing. (We’ll probably start about 9:30pm)

And on Saturday, at 6:30pm, we’ll be performing outdoors at the Lincoln Park Fall Festival (http://www.chicagoevents.com/event.cfm?eid=108). Location is 1960 N. Clybourn (Clybourn & Southport), and we’re sandwiched between the Fabulous Janes and Naked Eyes (80s one hit wonders: Promises….actually two hits if you count their cover of “Always Something There To Remind Me”). Anyhow, that’s the deal.

The rig: Motif 8 on top of XK1, Speakeasy 600 watt AMA RB3 convertible. (I’ll only be using one upper rotor box.)

Oh, and I heard that Nord USA and SpeakeasyVintageMusic have now joined forces and will be presenting together at this winter NAMM show in California. Nord has purchased 3 Speakeasy Roadbox 3s (2 stationary, one rotary) in….you guessed it, RED!
