The only redeeming qualities of these performances is the excellent playing
of the other members of the band (except the guitarist, who sounds nothing
like Luther Grossonover, AKA: Aerial Bender). Mike Harrison and Mike Kelly
are great! Especially for their ages. Just listen to Evil Woman and Waiting
for the Wind. Both on YouTube.

No, it IS that bad! His synth solo, while hardly inspirational, at least has
his signature tone, and is palatable. But the Hammond tones (which Spooky
Tooth were known for) are garbage, and the playing of said sound pretty much
blows.

As you know, part of being in a band is working as a team; and it's quite
apparent that the Dream Weaver forgot about that; his red jumpsuit screams
"look at me!!!!", his keytar screams "In case you missed my 70s satin
jumpsuit, look at me!" and it's just too self-indulgent. If someone in your
band did that (like the guitarist?), you'd be all over it.

Gary Wright does not get latitude because he had a couple radio hits, or a
really good record (Light of Smiles, at least the first half, is a KILLER
keyboard album). If anything, he's held to a higher standard because he set
the bar himself.

Blecchhhh....

Geez you guys, It's not that bad!! I never really heard "Spooky Tooth" the
first time around so maybe Gary Wright sang better with this Hariison guy.
Gary Wright kinda rocks here I think. Who care s wht controller he has. He's
the freekin' "Dream Weaver" !!! It's tough when these older guys try to
recreate what they did when they were in their 20's!! I haven't been called
back for any old band reunions luckily!! Better to move on.
