Subject:Re: 925 Treble driver Adapter Plate: buy, pix or info
Those drivers are very hard to find, the 925 Leslie
had a huge 30 pound big JBL 2482 16 ohms 120 watts
treble driver. This driver has a thicker midrange
sound in the upper octave without the thinness of the
V21. The treble is a little bit louder than on a V21.
This JBL driver has a 4 inch wide diaphram instead of
a 2 inch diaphragm on the stock Jensen driver. To
install this in a 122 or 147 Leslie you need a conical
reducer or their steel plates. You will probably have
to have the reducer and plate made unless someone
knows of an aftermarket vendor that sells one. I owned
a 925 Leslie back in the 1970's, it was awesome.
