Subject:sewing machine motors
okay, I realize that this is a completely off-the-wall question, but
I'm gonna ask it anyway...
has anyone ever heard of someone using sewing machine motors (with the
variable speed footpedal) for a leslie?
(okay, pick yourself up off the floor now...)
I think it would be a cool effect to have a continuously variable speed...
most of the motors I'm seeing are 5000 RPM, which is WAY over the
usual fast speed of 400 RPM. what I can't figure out is if that 5000
RPM translates to something much slower once attached to a belt...any
engineers out there who can answer this?
