Subject:Re: Voce v5+ vs V5

Actually it's mostly the C/V that I think is lacking on the original
V5. For my tastes the original V5 has enough "thunk" to the
percussion. After hearing from Mike W.'s post, I listened to his
review of the S.E. Roadbox on S.E.'s site where he plays a V5+
through it and was impressed by the C/V. GREAT clip by the way, Mike
W. (I sometimes use the V5 into a S.E. Vintage pre-amp box through a
Pro 3T /Low Pro but also have a chop B-3 and a gigging 142) Now I'm
weighing a sell off of some of my extras (the V5, OB3 squared, lots
of sound gear, etc.) to go to a V5+ ...OR... go further and get an XK-
1 or XK-3 and a Pro 145. I also have the NI B4II on a dedicated
laptop but can't seem to get comfortable enough to want to gig with
that setup, although I like the sound very much. I hear people use
the V5 for a drawbar controller for B4 but I'm fairly sure that's a
little more comlicated than my minimal technical ability can muster.
