When you assemble the XK-3 System, Traditional or Pro, the black strip
just below the upper keyboard (part of the upper keyboard itself)
doesn't have the Hammond font logo. If it did, it would probably rub
off if you just had the XK-3 upper manual itself.
To further the good looks and style that an XK-3 Traditional System
has, I want to recreate that logo where it normally resides on a
Hammond console. I've got a great decal that I purchased and if that
doesn't work a friend has a graphic-arts shop that can screen one on
that strip for me. It will need a coat of lacquer to seal the decal or
screening and therefore the keyboard has to come at least partially apart.
I'd get one of TREK's Hammond screened front strips (
http://www.trekii.com/FS100.html ), but they have holes in them for
attaching to a traditional Hammond console and they have felts too and
won't really fit without lots of modification.
Just a finishing touch.
