Not having ever been a Kurzweil guy, I'm probably not the one to answer. But they have new patch programming, a sequencer (whippee), 8zones instead of four, expanded FX , and in talking with their rep, programming power that exceeds their 2600 stuff. I haven't been knocked out by the KB3 sounds I've heard, but I'm very interested to check this board out.
