Subject:Roland KC-550 woofer replacement

I recently found a VK-77 for a steal which I bought and really love.
After not hearing a Roland KC amp for years my curiosity convinced me
to check one out. I played the vk-77 through a buddy of mine's Roland
KC-550 the other day and I must say it was a great match with the vk-
77. Simply put, it just sounded right to me. Although tonally it
sounded great, I noticed when I pushed it I could make the woofer
distort and crap out before the amp even clipped (a common occurence
with these I know). I think I'm going to buy one and consider putting
a more powerful woofer in it. Has anybody here replaced the woofer in
their kc-550 for the purpose of more headroom? If so, do you have any
recommendations on a particular speaker?
