Yes, it is for that, especially when you want the tube characteristics of the leslie but want to use a sim, but for high powered leslies (like Speakeasy’s 250watt and 600watt models), powered by a solid state amplifer, using the AMA gives you all the benefits of the 122 or 147 tube amp and A028 preamp with the benefits of the higher powered and cleaner power amps.
