Subject:Re: CX-3 firmware is failing!!!!!
All, Wow, thanks for the sympathy..it does help (a little) to know
there are some folks that have been there or can just imagine how it
feels. I am still waiting for the repair shop to call. Hind sight is
20/20, but my advice to any of you that want to go to V2 pay a pro to
do it, if Bruce is too far away. It is not worth the savings to take
the chance as far as I can see. I did everything I could to make it
go smooth and I'm not an idiot with computers either. I blame it on
the maybe the midi interface or the fact I forgot to turn off the
anti-virus before I started. I don't know what the charge would be,
but it's not worth the savings if it fails. I'm still happy I got the
Korg though. I admit I didn't spend a lot of time there today, but GC
had the Hammond XK1 and XK3? and the Nord73 on the floor and I like
my cx-3 better (when it still worked). It would have been nice if
Korg had gone the extra step of making it more computer update
friendly with a USB like my Yammaha Motif, but I think it sounds
great-can't wait to get it back, I hardly got to play with it! Still
trying to sell the hammond m3:-(
