Subject:Re: re New Preamp Product News - ???????? - same case?
Hey Tony , thanks for pointing my mistake.
Almost unforgettable error :( , mostly when trying to
be precise.
It happened when editing the message in a hurry and
saddly added these words : (ALL TUBE ).
In fact what I formerly tried to compare was the chain
WITH or WITHOUT a TUBE pre.
Let's say that my doubt was about what would happen
comparatively, if putting one piece of solid state in
the beginning , conversely a solid state signal ,
almost always available, but feeding the AMA.
Just that.
Put the question in other terms would be : may be that
a solid state PREamp, plus an AMA unit, would get the
same grind and growl that will come from an ALL TUBE
chain (pre SE + AMA) ?
Hope to be understood.
Bests,
Rafael

TUBE preamp + TUBE amp ===> ss POWER
What seems to be better would be to have this
schema:
PREamp + powerAMP (all TUBE) ====> solid state
POWERamp
I interpret both schemes to be the same thing
(which is what Speakeasy has done: tube pre into Tube
AMA into solid state power amp.
