Subject:Re: [CWSG]Nord C1

I agree. The organ sound is certainly similar between the Electro,
Stage, and C1 as it would be since it's the same group of people
using the same equipment to sample the same organ. The difference is
the degree to which the final product captures the essence of a B3
through a Leslie.

I tend to rate clones by not only how close the sound is to the
original, but how close the experience of playing them comes to
playing a B3/C3/A100 etc.

There is nothing scientific in these numbers, and they are certainly
subjective, they are just estimations of how closely they they
captured the 'real deal':

Electro: 75%. The sound isgood, but the instrument forced me to
alter my playing style to accommodate the instrument.

Stage: 85%. Sound is fatter. I have to make fewer adjustments in my
playing to get a real B3 sound.

C1: 95%. This number would have even been a little higher if the
thing had drawbars. The Leslie sim is outstanding, but when I run it
through a 122 and close my eyes and play, I no longer compare it to
the other clones I've owned, I compare it favorably to the the
various consoles (B3/A100 etc.) that I've owned.
