Although I play gospel organ, I've always appreciated a good rock
organist. BTW, in case anyone was interested, I am using a Canon Elura
100 miniDV camcorder and it's internal stereo mic.

In a nut shell, 147's use AC voltage to switch speeds so the console
switch directly controls the relay in the amp. A 122 uses DC voltage.
The 12AU7 control tube senses this voltage and turns on or off the
switching relay, so that's why there's an extra second or two delay.
