I think there IS a louver factor involved. The louvers if you tap
them produce and nice tone. My theory is that these louvers resonate
in addition to the tone cabinet enhancing the tone. I have heard a
760 and a 770 which have the same guts (no tube amp) but the 770
sounds different to me and it has the louvers. I have subscribed to
this louver theory for some time but it's not factual based just
observation based. I like the 760 for playing out because of the
casters and handles and 90 watts bi-amped but prefer the 122 for
studio recording.
