Perhaps. I read somewhere long ago that the louvers on a leslie have a phase correlation to the sound going thru them. I don't know if it's true. Perhaps others can shed light on this. Has something to do with the the way they are shaped.. If you use a venetian blind type of effect I don't know if that would have an effect or not because those would be flat shingles instead of convoluted passage ways.. I do know that the sound coming out of louvers is different from the sound coming off the back with the covers removed. So what is the true leslie sound? The rotors straight out the back? Or thru the louvers?
