Subject:Re: strangest organ rig?>> Bose PAS review
I love it! I've had mine for going on three years now and have never had a problem. Plenty powerful and yet the amplification is totally transparent. I run my ES6, XK-1 and vocal mic thru it. The PAS breaks down into 4 easy-to-tote sections and I use it for my mains & monitor as well as instrument amplifier. Because it's sound distribution is nearly omni-directional, the Hammond's Leslie sim sounds terrific thru it. My "oldies" band uses three of them for 100% of their rig (plus one Mesa Boogie modeler that the guitarist uses). We double up on the bass modules on each unit and have played some large venues with no volume distribution issues what-so-ever. There is a 2nd generation version from Bose that is now coming out and is supposed to be even lighter and have more features than the original. I still plan to keep the unit I have though. That being said, for my blues band, I'm still hankering to get a genuine rotary speaker to use solely with the XK-1. The band
already has a conventional mains/monitor rig that I can use and so my Bose PAS would get the night off ;-).
