True he was an engineer first musician last, if ever, however its his sound that reigns supreme among all these clones. Synthesizing his sound was just another step in the evolution of the organ just as he himself synthesized a pipe organ sound.

No, I think Mr. Hammond would just be angry that someone synthesized his product. No matter what players want to believe, Laurens Hammond a) wasn't a musician, and b) was rumored to be tone-deaf. (He certainly claimed to hear no difference between a Hammond tone cabinet and a Leslie Speaker.) He was a motor designer; the Hammond Organ was simply the most successful vehicle for his invention.
