Subject:Re: Vintage Leslie (122/147) owners: could you do me a favor?

Tony and Dave are right though. You'll never get a definite answer to
this question. I can try to answer them based on how my Leslie is set.

Horn ramp up - 1.5 seconds
Horn ramp down (chorale) - 2 seconds
Horn coast to stop - 4 seconds
Horn chorale to stop - 2 seconds
Horn RPM - not sure (depends on the pulley setting)

Rotor ramp up - 25 seconds (the belt tension will affect acceleration)
Rotor ramp down (chorale) - 10 seconds
Rotor coast to stop - 40 seconds
Rotor chorale to stop - 15 seconds
Rotor RPM - not sure (again, sometimes belt tension can affect the
RPM, not always though)

I don't have a tachometer or anything to measure the rotor RPM's so go
with Dave Bishop's estimates. I was just saying yesterday that the
scrim cloth on the lower rotor does in fact affect the rotation of the
rotor. I keep the belt tension rather loose so that's why the ramp up
to tremolo takes so long. A properly tensioned rotor should take
anywhere from 5 to 8 seconds to ramp up.

Hope this helps.
