I just changed out the crappy 12AX7's in my XK3 with vintage 1961 "Hammond"
branded tubes. The difference was striking! Check EBay.

Yes, I need to get a spare tube or 2 for it too. Any suggestions for
the XK-3c? And an online source? Tone Wheel Hospital has only the
stock Russian tube or one made by EH or something. The GUitar center
only had GROOVE tubes and was out of 12AX7s anyway. I'd really like to
source some good vintage tubes.
Thanks for the suggestion, more please?
