Subject:Short Nord C1 review...

I tried the C1 over at Tony Labrasca's-BT Productions- hooked up to his high
powered leslie and '57 B3 and did an A-B comparison and all I can say is
"WOW".
Playing both rigs at the same time, cross playing and you realize Clavia did
an incredible job on this board. Is it a B3? It's 99% there- -1% because the
Hammond is a "hair" more open sounding-I noticed( analogue vs digital perhaps?)
there was some generator cross talk on some notes on the Hammond and not on
the C1-Tony flipped a switch on the C1 and bang there it was! The top end of
the C1 is Full bodied just like the real thing, the percussion "clunks" like
the real thing, the vibrato on C3 was a little deeper than the B3, on C1 on the
C1 it was right there. I have a Hammond CV with the percussion mod and I LOVE
IT, but I gotta tell ya,waiting 20 minutes to find 2 other guys to pull it
down off the stage last night and then almost have it flip forward.....versus 33
pounds?........
While I was bouncing back and forth between the B3 and the C1 I got to a
point where I was trying to find something wrong...nit picking...and I had a real
hard time...it's pretty much "Dead On"
Bottom Line...
It sounds "Killer". Period.
